Jim Corbett Safari Zones

Eight names come up again and again when people plan a Corbett safari. This page puts them side by side, then sends you to a full guide for each.

Details marked as needing confirmation change from season to season. We keep them flagged rather than guess.

Which zone should I choose?

There is no single best zone. A first-time visitor on a short weekend usually does well with Bijrani. Someone who wants to sleep inside the forest and see wide grassland thinks of Dhikala. Travelling in the monsoon or off-season points towards zones that stay open. Birdwatchers often look at Jhirna and Dhela, while those who like a quieter feel look at the newer routes.

Our detailed guide, Which safari zone to choose, walks through this by season, group type and length of stay.

The map helps

Use the interactive map on the homepage to see how the zones sit around Ramnagar and where the resort clusters are. The map is a schematic drawing and is not to scale.
